I draw alot of my inspiration from wildlife from flowers, insects, trees and leaves. There is such a huge variety of plants, their colours ranging from bold and brash pinks and oranges to more softer and dusky violets, whites and greens. The shapes and patterns of the leaves are lovely to draw too. This summer I've been snapping away at some flowers on my vegatable patch. I love marigolds - not only are they useful in the garden protecting plants and attracting insects but they also have beautiful flower heads and leaves which are interesting to draw. I am planning to create some lino cuts from some of the photos I've taken.
Hello, I am a freelance illustrator and designer. I mostly use lino and monoprinting to produce my work, but also use other medium such as collage and Photoshop. As well as printing and illustration I am also passionate about textiles and surface design. My inspirations are nature and the seasons, and I love the work of William Morris and Edward Bawden amongst others.

New Designers 2013
I know it was a while ago go but just updating on New Designers 2013 which took place in Islington back in July. Really busy and really enjoyable few days and a great opportunity to meet with people from the industry. Lots of talented graduates showing there too and it was interesting to see the huge range in styles and what other people have been working on for the last few years. For the show, I exhibited a few of my favourite pieces – some of which are below. I mostly included lino and mono printing and I aimed to show a range of illustrations from book covers through to some patterns.
I also got a few mentions which is great, including a mention in Digital Arts online and also by an illustrator Andrew Berwick. http://andrewberwick.wordpress.com/2013/07/08/new-designers-2013; www.digitalartsonline.co.uk/news/creative-business/uk-grad-shows-2013-new-designers; www.ameliasmagazine.com/art/new-designers-2013-illustration-review-the-best-graduate-illustrators/2013/07/25
